It seems like we are being bombarded with many scary things over the news and internet. That is one reason I do not care to watch the news. But there is much room for concern. I know that we need to be aware of the dangers ahead. And be praying for our country, our missionaries, and our churches. I am hearing some wonderful testimonies of Muslims that have been saved, though. God seems to be doing a mighty work among them. What a joy to see their faces after receiving Christ. He can still work miracles and change lives. Even in America. Where self and it's desires are worshiped. You've heard it, "Whatever makes you happy, go for it." Instead of "Follow God's Word, do His will." How sad to miss the wonderful, blessed joy that living for Jesus brings. Let's not faint in this fight for the souls of men, but give the devil a fit. I read this in No Greater Joy this week................
Be the kind of woman who, when your feet hit the floor in the morning, the devil says, OH NO, SHE'S UP.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand...... Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplications for all saints; Ephesians 6;12,13, & 18

God is Not Boring
It seems like so many are in need of prayer lately. On Facebook there are always requests for prayer. And many have been my own. Thank you for praying. For me and for others in need of something. I know that God still hears and answers prayer these days. But I think that we tend to pray without expecting results. We pray because we are supposed to pray as Christians, I want to pray believing that God is going to send an answer, whatever kind of miracle it takes. Don't you? I am a little tired of the boring way we think of God. Especially when He is anything but boring. Parted the Red Sea, drown the Egyptian army, let a 90 year old woman bear a child, turned water into wine, healed the sick, raised the dead... all miracles from the Bible. Hundreds of people have stories of how God intervened in their situations and just flat did a miracle in these days and times. Oh, how we need to see and realize Who it is that we serve. How very powerful and great He is. So very worthy of our belief in Him and what He can do. Our children and grandchildren should see that He provides for us, not our jobs, our bank accounts, etc. He owns the cattle on the thousand hills. He must be the One to whom we go with our problems and needs. I think the world might be quicker to listen or turn to us for help if we really lived like we believe God could solve OUR problems. Shame on us! I am preaching to myself here. God help us Christians to BE what we ARE, the children of a wonderful God, who loves us and can be trusted. You pray for me and I'll pray for you. And God is going to do a mighty work. He has promised.

The Young and Old
Well, the wedding is over. We are so thankful for all the help. No way, could this thing have been pulled off without the help of so many wonderful family and friends. We are very grateful. And now that we can all breathe again (not that I did that much, but it was tiring to watch), we can all try to relax and get on with our lives. Like relaxing is possible with my bunch. They all move a little too fast for this "old lady." But that is the mode of the day, I'm afraid. And the older I get, the slower I move and even think. It is quite impossible to get that fact over to young people. That haven't got a clue what you are talking about. So I guess it is "live and learn" for them. But what on earth would we do without them? They give us hope, joy, and brighten up our lives with their exuberance. Thank you Lord for young people in my life. I love seeing them and being around them. It is a wonderful thing to have so many grandchildren who love the Lord and want to serve HIM. All I can say is I am so blessed. My life has been better than I could have imagined. And most certainly better than I deserve. Can't say it enough, Thank you, Lord.
Isaiah 40:29-31
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

The Family Wedding Workers Week
This is going to be a much better week for me. Tomorrow my daughter, Sharla is coming. She is on her way to the family wedding workers week. Everyone is going to be there to help Robin with all the details of the affair. So watch out for a crowd coming into the Mexican eating places! Being sick the last week or so has made me even more grateful for my wonderful family and friends. My precious friend, Pat Smith (Sharla's mother in law) prayed for me to feel better and have peace. Heaven came down on that prayer. And I really appreciate all the Facebook friends praying for me also. It helps to know that people care about you. I made myself go (took pain meds) to see a lady that has been in the hospital since last October. She is a member of our church. Just quoting some verses and praying with her made me feel better. Her name is Betty Honea. She's had it really rough. I'd appreciate it so much, if you would pray. Praying for each other is such a blessing and necessity.
Back to the wedding (Brittany and Morgan's), we are gearing up for a big reception at the Mansion on the Mountain. Reggie has put in a beautiful front yard, with sprinkler system, planted trees and bushes and got the grass planted. And the rain did the rest. Looks just great. Now if the road up the mountain would just be smoothed out. We could be set. No rain, please Lord. So big "doings" this week for the Moores. And the Trulls. And the Smiths, And the Hawns. One for all, all for one!

Blessing, Curse, then Blessing
This last week has been a blessing, a curse, and a blessing. By that I mean, I had a great first of the week. Picked up Brittany on Tuesday to go to Camp Meeting in Greenbriar, AR. Then we headed over to the meeting and it was such a blessing. Always enjoy going to Faith Baptist Church and being with Pastor Allen Jackson and his sweet wife, Glenda. We were not able to stay the whole time because Brittany had to get back to tend to Mary (the 105 yr.old). But we enjoyed the music and preaching till Wednesday. Wednesday I came on home and was up all night with a strange cough spasm going on and about 20 trips to the bathroom. I thought it might be congestive heart failure, as those were some of the symptoms Preacher had with it. Thank the Lord it was asthma, and a urinary tract infection, but it is not healing very fast and I have been in a lot of pain. The trouble with having these UTI in older people is that they tend to get confused with them. Well, let me tell you when you look for your brush for 5 minutes and can't find it, then look at your right hand and see it there. And you try to find your daughter in law's name on your phone, then discover you've been looking for her as Rachel Jackson, instead of her married name, Rachel Trull (which she's had for 15 years now.) I think that is really confused. So I've been dealing with the curse of anxiety and fear, which has often plagued me. And once again God has to deal with me and remind me that He is in control, I'm not. That is just NOT fun to a control-freak like me. But without Him I can do nothing. And He alone can fix my problems, be they physical, emotional, or spiritual. So hence, I said blessing, curse, blessing this week. The last blessing is that God is showing me that HE is ALL I need.
