Blessing, Curse, then Blessing

This last week has been a blessing, a curse, and a blessing. By that I mean, I had a great first of the week. Picked up Brittany on Tuesday to go to Camp Meeting in Greenbriar, AR. Then we headed over to the meeting and it was such a blessing. Always enjoy going to Faith Baptist Church and being with Pastor Allen Jackson and his  sweet wife, Glenda. We were not able to stay the whole time because Brittany had to get back to tend to Mary (the 105 yr.old). But we enjoyed the music and preaching till Wednesday. Wednesday I came on home and was up all night with a strange cough spasm going on and about 20 trips to the bathroom. I thought it might be congestive heart failure, as those were some of the symptoms Preacher had with it. Thank the Lord it was asthma, and a urinary tract infection, but it is not healing very fast and I have been in a lot of pain. The trouble with having these UTI in older people is that they tend to get confused with them. Well, let me tell you when you look for your brush for 5 minutes and can't find it, then look at your right hand and see it there. And you try to find your daughter in law's name on your phone, then discover you've been looking for her as Rachel Jackson, instead of her married name, Rachel Trull (which she's had for 15 years now.) I think that is really confused. So I've been dealing with the curse of anxiety and fear, which has often plagued me. And once again God has to deal with me and remind me that He is in control, I'm not. That is just NOT fun to a control-freak like me. But without Him I can do nothing. And He alone can fix my problems, be they physical, emotional, or spiritual. So hence, I said blessing, curse, blessing this week. The last blessing is that God is showing me that HE is ALL I need.

Ephesians 3:20  Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
